Migros Next
Redefining Inventory Management
Migros Next is a comprehensive ecosystem that digitizes storage and shelf management for one of Turkey's largest retail chains. As part of the SHERPA design team, we transformed a legacy system into a user-centered and scalable modern solution.
The Challenge
When we started, the system was technically outdated and complex, causing operational delays. Our primary goal was to analyze bottlenecks with stakeholders and create lean UX solutions to simplify the entire process.
The Approach
We approached the design process as a total experience transformation. By detailing user stories and reshaping the information architecture, we optimized user flows. Low-fidelity sketches helped us determine the most efficient way to display complex data sets.
The Solution
We built the "Migros Next Design System" based on Google Material Design and Atomic Design principles. I organized over 250 components into a perfect hierarchy. This structure was so consistent that we skipped the wireframing phase and moved directly to high-fidelity screens, significantly speeding up development.
The Outcome
Although the project ended earlier than planned at SHERPA, we produced a massive output in a short time. We delivered 25+ epics and nearly 400 screens along with a complete design system to the Migros team. This process proved my expertise in building large-scale data management systems from scratch.
