Reelfind
Mobile Platform for Independent Cinema Enthusiasts
Reelfind is a niche mobile platform concept I designed for international and independent cinema enthusiasts. The primary focus of this project was not merely to present an aesthetic interface but to build a comprehensive design system architecture that can meet all future growth and scaling needs of the product.
The Challenge
In a field like independent cinema, where visual depth and artistic soul are paramount, the greatest challenge is to protect this atmosphere while ensuring the design is built on a sustainable structural foundation. My main objective was to create a user experience free from the algorithmic noise of mainstream platforms, supported by a professional and standardized design infrastructure. For the overall integrity of the project, I prioritized a governed system architecture over static, one-off screens.
The System
In the design system phase, which lies at the core of this work, I built an end-to-end library utilizing modern Figma variables and component features. Through variables and semantic tokens, I empowered the system with the flexibility to support both light and dark themes simultaneously. By binding the color palette and typography hierarchy to strict rules, I ensured visual consistency, while standardizing all spatial and structural values based on a "multiples of 4" principle to establish a rhythmic balance across the UI. This approach provided a systematic precision that eliminated ambiguity in the visual language while preserving the artistic texture of the design.
Implementation
I acted as the sole product architect and system designer for this project. I personally managed all stages, from structuring the information architecture to creating a component library that complies with high technical standards. I prepared every element in a documented format to ensure the highest level of structural clarity, establishing a professional foundation for the design's internal logic and component hierarchy.
The Result
Through the Reelfind, I delivered a structured and scalable design model rather than just an aesthetic prototype. This professional structure demonstrates how systems thinking and visual discipline can be harmonized with aesthetics, even within a conceptual framework.
