Non-custodial hot crypto wallet application of Paribu
Paribu SELF is Turkey's first local crypto wallet and the world's first MPC-based (multi-party computational) hot wallet on the Ethereum network. Our primary goal was to transform complex asset custody technology into a trustworthy, calm, and accessible user experience.
Simplifying Crypto: A UX Journey for Security and Ease
In the crypto world, non-custodial systems are often technically complex and intimidating for users. Following the approval of the initial UI concept, we developed wireframes and UX concepts to simplify this complexity. Our mission was to provide a guiding interface that makes users feel secure while managing their assets.
Scalable Design Systems
For scalability, we built a sustainable system based on Paribuβs main design library, customized (forked) specifically for this project's needs. We successfully integrated Figma variables into our workflow. By using a "headless design system" developed by our team, we sourced fundamental color and sizing variables to create a strong foundation.
Design System
We created over 300 components with light and dark mode support, including essential documentation. Using these components, we designed more than 250 pages. Through close collaboration with product designers, we maintained high UI quality while ensuring the technical sustainability of the system.
Conclusion & Impact
The Paribu SELF project is a significant example of how complex technology can be simplified through user-centered design. The robust design system we built provides a strong foundation for future updates and sets the visual and experience standards for Turkey's first local wallet ecosystem.
